Pre-sales Engineer (Financial Services and Insurance Industry Consulting) 


As an Pre-sales Engineer, you will help reinvent businesses and industries by developing and utilizing specialized knowledge of the Financial Services & Insurance (FSI) industry and cross-industry competitive strategies. We have different offices in Poland besides Bydgoszcz (Wroclaw, Krakow, Warsaw, Gdansk) and also the option to work remotely. 

As a trusted and respected leader within the FSI industry, your focus will be to work with Atos Customers on designing the solution options that will accelerate their agile and digital journey to deliver real business change and value. With experience of working in senior roles in FSI consulting or client side, your strategic recommendations will drive change in a digitally enabled era and give you the opportunity to collaborate with highly talented peers.

Your Role and Responsibilities

FSI Consulting within Atos is a business consulting group focused on business strategy in the digital age for the FSI domain. We operate as “tip of the spear”, leading key engagements for Atos in addition to having our own P&L responsibilities, with the context of a new FSI industry vertical approach to market. In FSI Consulting we advise clients on business transformation through an analytical approach that combines human-centered design with an understanding of emerging technologies and platforms.

You play a key role in the FSI industry with accountability for driving solutions and new business that deliver real transformation for our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Finding & Designing innovative solution options for FS customers in areas of Customer Experience, Banking API, AI, Blockchain, Data Analytics, Business Value Monitoring
  • Running discovery & innovation workshops to understand customer journey and challenges towards digital services
  • Lead technical and solution discussion with the customers to define the roadmaps
  • Be an advocate of Agile & Continuous Delivery approaches
  • Help customers to measure business value of modernization initiatives
  • Contribute to the formal RFP & RFI responses
  • Play a key solution role with Digital Transformation Squads for platinum accounts
  • Tightly cooperate with Consulting, Portfolio and Marketing teams to create consistent story and delivery approaches
  • Being a trusted advisor for clients by working closely with them to understand their issues, create strategic recommendations to drive change in a digitally-enabled era.
  • Work closely with Account teams for revenue generation. Revenue will come from a mix of existing FSI account and “new logos”.
  • Helping our clients explore and implement disruptive strategies that create business value, such as new business models that bring ideas to life, new technologies that can reduce or optimize costs, and design optimal routes to market for new or existing products and services.
  • Contributing to the growth and influence of FSI Consulting through thought leadership and practice development activities.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team of talented consultants and managers to deliver insights-based, recommendations that execute the strategic agenda of our clients
  • What Do We Look For In A Successful Pre-sales Engineer?

  • Experience in defining solution and enterprise architectures for Financial Services and Insurance organizations
  • Deep understanding of Financial Services and Insurance industries
  • Advance knowledge and experience in at least three of the following areas: Customer Experience API . Microservices AI/ML Blockchain, Data Analytics Business Value Monitoring Delivery Methodologies
  • Agile and value driven mindset
  • Project proven experience with CD/CI
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, including the desire to take ambiguous problems and deliver creative and well-structured solutions; as well as applying deep analytical skills to ensure recommendations are informed by data and insights
  • Proven track record of team and client success, reflecting an ability to manage large and complex projects and partner with client stakeholders to achieve common goals
  • Powerful communication and storytelling skills, successfully applying verbal and written communications to influence business leaders with strong points of view
  • Experience and interpersonal skills to thrive in and foster an intense team atmosphere, ability to build direct working relationships across all levels of our and our client teams
  • Required Professional Expertise

  • 10 years of general consulting (or other equivalent business experience) in the FSI industry
  • A deep understanding of the solutions applicable to FSI industry in the local market and how digital can be effectively utilized to address them
  • Leading initiatives in complex matrix environments
  • Willingness to travel (domestically and globally) as the work demands
  • Masters degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
